An authentic Kansas micro-distillery

Baldwin City Distillery and Orchard lies on the outskirts of the delightful, historic hamlet of Baldwin City, Kansas.

Our tasting room is nestled in a beautifully renovated classic red barn surrounded by expansive prairie and heirloom apple orchards. Here we offer our visitors a sampling of the unique, small-batch spirits produced by our on-site micro-distillery as well as a tantalizing assortment of house-made cocktails created from them.

As you stroll the grounds, you’ll find our apple orchards, which are home to 43 varieties of heirloom cider apple trees that we carefully tend to craft to produce the first authentic farm-to-bottle Kansas Apple Brandy! You’ll also find a small vineyard tucked into the south side of the distillery where we cultivate the grapes for our cognac/grape brandy. From apples and grapes to elderberries and herbs, we grow many of the fresh, seasonal, local ingredients that grace our cocktails.

Baldwin City Distillery has become a destination, where stories are told, ideas are shared and camaraderie reigns supreme. Our guests are encouraged to mingle, but there are copious opportunities to relax, unwind, and spend quiet time reflecting.

Gather with friends in our tasting room to sip cocktails, engage in lively conversation, and take in the performances of local artists. You’ll be greeted with expansive country views as you meander down a winding pathway from the tasting room to our fire pit.

In the evenings when the weather is mild, stop by to listen to live music outdoors while lounging in comfortable chairs. Or linger by the serene, well-stocked pond, where geese, ducks, eagles, kestrels, and other wildlife gather as the sun lazily slips under the horizon and the stars appear in the evening sky.
